Established in 2004, Padain’s Specialty Meats takes pride in providing authentic Cajun food, a great atmosphere, and excellent customer service.  The owners Chan and D’Ane Chambers with their girls Kristen and Kamryn, make Padain’s a family affair and incorporate their love for food and their heritage into making Padain’s a place for all to enjoy the rich Cajun Culture. 

Padain’s, meaning godfather in the Cajun language a spin on the French word Parrain, was named on behalf of their godchild Tatum, whose Padain is Chan and Nannie is D’Ane.  Recipes used in the store are over 50 years old and were passed down from grandparents, parents, aunts and uncles, with other recipes rooting from popular cuisine in the area with a Padain’s twist.  After two years of store operations, Padain’s has recently branched out into the catering business including weddings, church banquets, company picnics, family reunions and other community affairs, and takes pride in customizing events to fit the clients needs while providing excellent customer service.

 Raised with the belief to give back to those  who have helped you, Padain’s helps in the community by having fundraisers for different events including the YMCA, High School Organizations, needy families, and cooking for relief efforts after Hurricane Katrina’s and Rita and more recent tornado damage in the area.   Helping in the community and giving back is Padain’s mission, besides fundraising assistance Padain’s has an annual Block Party for the High School and Middle School Football teams and provides a booth at South Live Oak’s annual Cajun Arts and Crafts Festival.
